Experience that also leaves room for an honest, personal conversation.
Carine has been a lawyer since 1988 and heads the office. She assesses what is legally possible, but also says when another step is wiser.
From the VUB to her own law firm.
Carine did not come from a legal family. After her first practical experience, she chose to build an office herself. Through concrete case files, the work for military and government personnel grew into a recognizable part of her practice.
- VUB
- Graduated in law in 1988. Carine subsequently obtained the certificate of professional competence for the exercise of judicial functions and followed the internship master training for lawyers.
- 1988

- Her own law firm
- After her first internship, Carine continued independently and expanded her practice.

Legal work in a public context.
Carine specializes in military law, civil service law, administrative law and constitutional law. She has been working for military and government personnel for decades and has been active as a debt mediator since 1999.

Military and government personnel
Carine has been handling cases for years in which a legal decision can also have consequences for the career or position within a government service.
- Disciplinary measures and disciplinary procedures
- Transfer, appointment or promotion
- Criminal law questions with consequences for work
Even an unwelcome answer
Carine discusses what is legally and practically possible. One clear no can be just as important as a proposal to move forward.
